     Thirty two persons have been arrested for involvement in the recent Kaduna crisis, the state government said.

The government also relaxed the curfew on Kachia town, urging residents of the area to go about their legitimate businesses. With the development, residents are free to move about from 6am to 5pm daily.Heads of the security agencies in Kaduna State and senior government officials, led by Governor Nasir El-Rufai, who met on the security situation in the state capital and other communities, sympathized with residents on the inconvenience associated with the curfew, saying it was imposed to save lives and that it is under constant review.

A statement by Samuel Aruwan said the council observed that there’s a substantial compliance with the curfew by residents and welcomed the atmosphere of calm largely prevailing in the areas under curfew, as w“The Security Council commended residents for refusing to allow criminal elements to divide our communities and cause chaos. It urged Kaduna residents to continue to cooperate with the security agencies, to ensure that those who want a peaceful, law-governed society prevail over criminals who prefer chaos and anarchy.

The council said within the curfew areas, security agencies thwarted attempts to destroy places of worship in Kawo and Hanyin Banki, while one person was killed in Kasuwan Magani and another arrested with a weapon overnight. The persons arrested will be investigated and prosecuted.”

The government advised residents to continue to comply with curfew hours, warning that only persons involved with delivering essential services will be allowed free passage.

“Curfew violation is a crime that will earn arrest and prosecution,” the government said.ell as across the state.

The Justice Mojisola Olatoregun-led Federal High Court in Lagos has, Wednesday, granted the immediate past governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose N50 bail

Alleged N4.7bn fraud: Fayose arrives court for trial
Fayose is standing trial over an 11-count charge bordering on money laundering, abuse of public office, criminal breach of trust and stealing, up to the tune of N6.9bn preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Recall that Fayose was, Monday, denied bail by the court when he appeared for his trial.

The judge had ordered that he be remanded under the EFCC custody and the case adjourned till today.

Fayose had pleaded not guilty to the charges against him when they were read to him in court on Monday.

However, at the resumed hearing today, the Judge granted the ex-governor a bail of N50 million with two sureties who must issue a N50 million bond in a reputable bank as well as possess three years tax clearance.

The judge also ruled that Fayose deposit his international passport with the court.

Earlier, Fayose’s counsel, Kanu Agabi, pleaded with the court to grant his client bail based on self recognition. He also sought the bail on the grounds that Fayose voluntarily submitted himself to the EFCC.

However, counsel to EFCC objected to the bail application, saying it is still tracing illegal properties acquired by the former governor. The commission also said that bail be denied Fayose because he had come to the commission’s headquarters with thugs who tried to attack the commission.

However, after hearing pleas from both sides, the judge granted the former governor bail.

Edo state Assembly swears in a new deputy Speaker

The member representing Igueben Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, Mr. Justin Okonoboh, has been sworn in as the new deputy Speaker.

Okonoboh took his oath of office at 10:06 AM on Tuesday, shortly after the House adopted its proceedings for Monday.

The former deputy Speaker, Mr. Victor Edoror, was impeached by 16 lawmakers over allegations of corruption, high-handedness and acts capable of destabilising the House.
        Two other members, Mr. Folly Ogedengbe (Owan East); and Gani Audu (Etsako West I) were also suspended for three months each for alleged unruly behaviour.

Although Edoror had denied the allegations and vowed to resume as the deputy Speaker, he was not present ‎on Tuesday.

At the resumption of plenary, the Speaker, Mr. Kabiru Adjoto, directed the sacked Speaker to return all the property belonging to his former office to the House.
       Adjoto also called on the Commissioner of Police, ‎Mr. Johnson Kokumo, to take steps to recover the property within 48 hours.

A Nigerian woman, Mrs Ajibola Otunbusin delivered a bouncing baby boy at 67yrs, breaking all kinds of records in the process.

Not only has she become the oldest Nigerian woman to give birth through IVF (in-vitro fertilization), she is also the oldest African in recorded history to give birth to a baby, and the 2nd oldest mum in the world.

"This might be hard to believe but I am 67 years old and I have been married for over 39 years. I have done several IVF both in India and in Nigeria that failed. At several points, I had said to myself: 'So I will die without a child of my own?' But I never gave up on God. I held on to the belief that at the appointed time, God will remember me. And my husband kept encouraging me.

“In 2018. I was directed to St. Ives Fertility center by the Holy Spirit. I started the procedure with joy and I ended it with joy from above."

While glowing with the radiance that comes from a long mission finally accomplished, Mrs Ajibola Otunbusin advised other women who are encountering challenges with childbearing not to lose hope.

She urged them to remain positive and try all medical methods while also looking up to God for the fruit of the womb.

“I hereby encourage all women despite your age not to relent, God of Sarah will remember you too”, she said.

Buhari to mercy late Ambrose Ali whom he sentenced to 100 years in prisonment "1983"

President Muhammadu Buhari is considering presidential pardon for late Professor Ambrose Alli, former Governor of Bendel State (now Edo and Delta States), according to Edo Governor, Godwin Obaseki.

Obaseki revealed this at a memorial service held in honour of the former governor, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Emaudo, Ekpoma, on Sunday.

“I had an audience with President Muhammadu Buhari while in China and discussed the issue of a presidential pardon for late Prof. Alli.

“The president asked me to meet with the Attorney-General of the Federation. This I have done and I have also written to him.

“The president has subsequently instructed the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, to begin the process,” he said.

The governor said he was optimistic that at the next meeting of the Council on Prerogative of Mercy, the president would grant the pardon.

Obaseki also gave the assurance that he was working with his Delta counterpart to ensure that pension due to late Alli was paid to his widow and the family.

The governor praised the former governor’s development strides in his single term in the defunct Bendel.

On his part, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta said the state would continue to remember Alli for developing it, adding that the people had a lot to thank him for.

“We are grateful, as his developmental strides can still be seen years after his death,” he said.

Eldest son to the former governor, Mr Andrew Alli, the Ezomo of Ekpoma, regretted that his father was still termed a criminal despite his contributions to the development of Delta, Edo and Nigeria.

Alli was reportedly arrested and sentenced to 100 years in prison by a military tribunal for allegedly misappropriating N983,000 meant for a road project when the military government of then Major-General Muhammadu Buhari took power in 1983.

He was said to have been later freed when the Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, paid a fine to the government.

Naija News recalls that Shehu Sani was cleared by the APC’s national working committee (NWC) as the candidate for the senatorial district but Nasir el-Rufai, governor of the state, resisted the NWC’s action.

The serving senator had boycotted the primary and filed an appeal and the party upheld his appeal but the name of el-Rufai’s candidate was sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

An allege Couple has been arrested for selling there day old baby for #250.000

The police in Rivers State has arrested a couple in the Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State, for selling their day-old baby for N250,000. The couple, Richard and Chidinma Benson, however, said they sold their baby to enable them to leave their village in the Isiala Ngwa North LGA of Abia State to seek a better life in a town.
Chidinma had reportedly been delivered of a baby boy at Graceland Maternity Home in Afam on October 7, 2018, and she allegedly sold the baby to one Rose onyia.

It was gathered that the baby was later resold to another child trafficker, identified as Eucharia Jaja, for N550,000 after which the infant was sold to an unnamed person in Lagos.The couple told us that poverty led them to sell the baby, who they said was their fourth child.

Chidinma said:

“We sold our baby to one woman (Rose Onyia). I have four children and one is late. The baby was one day old when we sold him for N250,000. I did it with my husband’s approval.

“We wanted to leave the village because we were living in poverty. My husband was a wheelbarrow pusher and we believed that if we sell the baby, we would have enough money to come to a town in Umuahia or Port Harcourt.”

Her husband, Benson Richard, confirmed that they were almost dying of poverty when they decided to sell to sell the baby so that they could leave the village.

“My wife had a big sore in one of her legs and we needed money to treat the wound. At a point, my wife could not walk; that was when we decided to sell the baby boy after he was delivered,”

Benson said.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police, IGP Monitoring Unit, Benneth Igwe, said the couple and 13 other suspected child traffickers were arrested in Oyigbo and Ikwerre LGAs based on reliable intelligence.

“The operatives of IGP Monitoring Unit raided Afrique Hotel, Afam, in Oyigbo, Rivers State, and rescued six pregnant women.  The hotel is used as a base by suspected child traffickers.

“Information further revealed that on October 7, 2018, Chidinma was delivered of a baby boy at Graceland Maternity Home, Afam. The maternity home is owned by a quack nurse called Grace Daniel.

“The couple were paid N250,000 by one Rose Onyia and the baby was later sold to one Eucharia Jaja from Omagwa for N550,000. Thereafter, the baby was sold by Jaja to a client in Lagos. Our operatives are on the trail of the last buyer to rescue the baby.”

Igwe alleged that the child trafficking cartel had sold hundreds of children within and outside the country, adding that members of the cartel specialised in luring pregnant women to illegal maternity homes for the delivery and eventual sale of their babies.

Apart from the Bensons, Daniel and Jaja, he identified other suspected traffickers as Ikechi Nwanyanwu, Oluchi Ude, Kelechi Stephen, Destiny Sunday, Mary James, Chioma Prince, Ede Loveth, Nmesoma John and Victory Ihunna, who allegedly sold another  child for N750,000 before she was .

THE Coalition of Presidential Aspirants under the All Progressive Congress, APC, Wednesday, called the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, to give up his job without delay for allegedly creating crisis in the party.

It warned: “Should the national chairman fail to resign, we shall mobilize APC faithful across the country to besiege the party secretariat.”

The group stated: “He has not only succeeded in creating factions within the party in almost the whole thirty six states of the Federation, including the Federal Capital Territory, he has introduced development unknown to democracy.”

“He deliberately hiked the prizes of nomination forms to scare genuine Nigerians with burning desire to salvage the nation’s economy; he is gradually destroying the party to pave way for the People Democratic Party

Joshua has revealed some things thaProphet T.B Joshua yesterday            During a Sunday service televised live via Emmanuel TV, warned Nigerians to be aware of fake political party people as he also said he foresees a plane crash.

“Pray for Nigeria because I am seeing a plane crash. It’s not a good thing to lose personalities again.
